Axis Back with Cosmos
Well, it looks like Cosmos is getting what we needed for this. IPv4 support, a higher resolution for VMWare, and still going. Although it doesn't have FAT write support yet, we will use Cosmos, but only use a VFS. Anyone is free to help and please remember that posting a discussion will more likely be responded to than an email to me.

AxisOS is a very lightweight Cosmos operating system that will utilize a GUI, a scripting engine, an API, a Virtual Filesystem (VFS), etc, etc, etc. It can currently run in VMWare with 256 MB of RAM. It currently does not have a GUI, not even a command line because it is very young and in development as it will be for a very long time. When it is all finished, I plan for it to be under 200 Megabytes, not 4-5 Gigabytes like Windows 7 so as to conserve HDD space and RAM. When Cosmos has full FAT read/write support, we will get rid of the VFS and use the actual Hard Disk. Also, when we are able to write to the disk, it will have an installer so that you can boot from your Hard Drive instead of a CD. If you would like to help with this project, create a discussion on the discussions tab at the top of the page or send me an e-mail at scifiboi@yahoo.com. When the VFS is finished, I will add some basic executable file types such as .AEF (Axis Executable File), .AS (Axis Script), and .AIP (Axis Installation Package). .AS files will start a terminal and run in there, but .AEF and .AIP will run standalone in a new window.

Ideas for Axis
If you have an idea for AxisOS, post it in the discussions tab and maybe we'll try and implement it, or you can try and implement it yourself! Any help is much appreciated, but just know that if anyone becomes offensive or uses profanity on the discussions or anywhere else, you will be reported to Codeplex, so please keep all posts clean.
